Small Classroom Needs Organization and Efficiency!
My students need this easel and cart for direct instruction in reading, writing, and math. It will also make our classroom more organized and efficient.
Every morning we start out with our goals for the day in reading, writing, and math. The easel will be used for direct instruction while my students sit on the rug for an intimate lesson highlighting key concepts for all three subjects. Having this cart will allow the lesson to run efficiently.
Every year I have a diverse group of learners.
We are over 50% free and reduced lunch and considered a title 1 school. This year I will have three students with high needs and expect to do a lot of lessons with small group on the rug. My goal is to provide an environment for all types of learners to feel comfortable and relieved of all stress so that they can focus on Learning. Our class is the smallest classroom in the school, so organization and efficiency are at the top of my list in order to provide an environment where all students can learn.
My Project
With the easel we will be able to make charts for the classroom. Since there is plenty of room for supplies we will have everything available for efficient lessons. These will be used for lessons in reading, writing, math, vocabulary building in all subjects and toolbox lessons highlighting strategies that will help them solve problems and have better relationships.
This cart and easel will improve our learning environment by providing us with additional storage that is much needed.
It will also give us a learning space where we can make charts that can hang in our classroom all year long to support learning for all learners.
