Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a fourth-grade special education self-contained class. Fourth grade is such an exciting group, with so much excitement, eagerness, and enthusiasm. My students' energy inspires me to make learning a fun adventure. My students are actively engaged in classroom activities daily. We would love to have mid-morning snacks to keep our minds active throughout the morning.
My fourth grade students need to have mid-morning snacks.
I would like my students to have a mid-morning snack to keep them actively learning.
My Project
My students eat breakfast at 7:30 in the cafeteria. Some eat breakfast at home before coming to school. They often say they are hungry and lunch is too far off. We need to have small bites to feed our growing bodies.
By donating to Small bites you will give my students an opportunity to have a small bite until their lunchtime.
I have seen how having a small bite can make a difference in the classroom. The students are focused and class participation improves. Having a midmorning snack will help my students concentrate instead of counting down the minutes until lunch.
