Slumberkins for Social Emotional Learning!

Help me give my students social emotional tools to build strong healthy connections to peers, staff, and adults at home.

My Project

I have 17 students who all have diverse backgrounds. Although, my students are all very different, they all struggle with and deal with big emotions.

No matter what they are going through at home, I strive to provide a safe and loving learning environment.

I plan to use the various Slumberkins to teach my students how to regulate their emotions in a way that is appropriate to their developmental stage. We already use one Slumberkin in the classroom, an alpaca. The students are able to whisper their worries to the alpaca and they feel he is able to hold onto their worries for them. I have already seen the impact one Slumberkin has had on my students and I would love to incorporate more into my classroom to see a difference in my students lives.
