Musical, creative, inquisitive, energetic...these are all words that describe my students. They love to sing, move, play instruments, and learn in hands-on ways. They love to use drums, Orff instruments, and ukuleles in our music room, and they love to perform.
Around 25% of our students come from military families, and this brings them their own unique set of challenges.
I want to teach them a love for music that will last them their whole lives, wherever they may find themselves.
My Project
Thanks to DonorsChoose and generous donors, our piano lab will come to life this fall! I want the space to be beautiful and attractive for our students, a place to inspire learning.
I am requesting SkyPanels in a variety of styles and themes, such as clouds, trees, and hot air balloons.
These attractive panels will cover our normal lights and diffuse the light while providing an attractive view to students as we work to learn piano skills. So often classrooms must focus on what is necessary, and certainly that comes first. However, I truly love that DonorsChoose allows us to provide beauty and stimulation in our learning spaces as well. I can't wait to see this room come to life!
