My Students

Science is the search for truth. My students learn that science begins with observations which lead to questions which lead to experimentation. And they know that their conclusions should lead to more questions to propagate the cycle of science. This is a lifelong journey of growth and experimentation.

All students at my school free or reduced-priced lunch and my school caters to students who have become disillusioned with traditional education.

Our role as teachers is to revive the spark that has fizzled in our kids and remind them of the amazing humans they truly are. We use alternative methods to teach kids where they are and draw them into the flow of passion for learning that best suits them.

One day soon I hope to see D. work for NASA, or E. open his own barber shop, or L. graduating as an engineer. Meanwhile, I’ll do what I can day to day to keep them engaged and motivated to reach for their own stars.

My Project

As our world becomes ever more digital and online, coding will become a requisite language and skill for students to find their way to build the future. Looking to the skies for expansion and answers, drones are soon to become a mainstay in our delivery and technological landscape.

Help me help my students learn to code and fly with these modular drones.

They will create pathways through the sky, and fly them. These drones can be configured in multiple formats and respond to coding commands from a student's hand held device. We can use these in the classroom, in the gym, and across the field to explore the forces of physics that will help us command our own future.
