Our school is a rural, Title I school located in southeastern Oklahoma. Approximately 80% of our students are Native American. Over 80% of our students participate in the free or reduced-price lunch program.
My classes are comprised of students in grades 3rd through 8th.
My students are eager, enthusiastic learners. My students are inquisitive and take every opportunity to empower themselves in their quest for new learning opportunities.
My students often need extended resources beyond the textbook to be successful in learning. These resources will provide additional support in learning geography and history.
Resources provided by this project will support inclusion of all students of all learning needs.
Maps and globes purchased with this funding will allow my students hands-on opportunities to learn basic geography skills.
Additional materials provided through this project will allow me to focus on learning gaps in all grades taught within my classroom. These materials will both complement and supplement the social studies curriculum.
