Help me give my students a variety of materials to build their ELA skills, such as the Storyteller Writing Box, which will allow us to practice both verbal and written storytelling.
My current students have so much grit. This year, all of my students are learning from home, and I am teaching from home. Even through the screen we have found ways to connect teacher-student and peer-peer.
These kids work hard day-after-day and they deserve the best we can provide.
My Project
Reading and other parts of the English Language Arts (ELA) are arguably the most critical skills a Kindergartener will learn. Language is embedded into everything we do, so it is essential to build a strong foundation of these skills early on.
With the ability to read, a child can access everything they need to be a well-rounded learner.
Even math requires us to read! When a child reads, they are improving their knowledge base, memory, and concentration.
These materials will be used to work on skills learned in Kindergarten, including letter identification, letter sounds, word decoding, and sequencing.
