This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Art is a new frontier for most of my students as many have not been exposed to the art world as others may have been. All of my students are enthusiastic learners and are very high energy. They are very hands-on and love to create new things. They glow every time they realize that they have created something they never thought they could.

Art is a safe place for my students to discover new things and find incredible talents within their heart of hearts.

My Project

These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because the LEGO bricks and Sketch Wizards will encourage creativity. Some of my art students are not quite ready to dive into creativity with boundless enthusiasm. Some are just getting their feet wet.

The Sketch Wizards, although not exactly requiring drawing, will help give my students confidence in what they are already learning in art.

The LEGO bricks will be more for my younger students. This will give them a little bit of freedom to play and interact with each others, and we have a few projects that I plan on doing this with them. LEGO bricks are an awesome creativity resource that I'm sure they will love.
