My students are from a small rural school. I teach a high school human anatomy and physiology class. We do not have many resources to work with.
Learning about how the human body works is fascinating for my students!
Students who struggle in other classes excel in this class. They are interested and are willing to put in additional effort to learn the material.
I have many students interested in the medical field and I want them to know they deserve the best resources to learn from!
We currently have a skeleton in our classroom..... It is missing many bones including most of the teeth, a leg, a few vertebrae, and the mandible (lower jaw bone).
I would love for them to have a complete skeleton to study.
Hands-on learning is the most beneficial type of learning. I want them to be able to see how the bones work together, learn muscle attachment points, see passageways for vessels, and so much more!
Anatomy is hard to learn from a powerpoint presentation or by completing a worksheet. This skeleton would help change the task of learning all 206 bones of the body from a boring memorization process into an engaging activity they will benefit from for many years.
