Sixth Grade Hands On!

Help me give my students a set of igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rock for hands on labs to learn about geology, as well as a set of compasses to use during geometry lessons.

My Project

Our sixth grade class has suffered this year with geometry lessons throughout our math curriculum in addition to our geometric art based curriculum. We have been in need of strong, sturdy compasses as ours are 10+ years old and most are completely broken. This will allow kids to be much more successful with measurements! In addition, our geology set of rocks will help our sixth grade class and future classes get hands on with the different rock types they learn about. They will be able to see and feel the difference between rock types.
