My students need chairs, chairs, and more chairs! I've been teaching 22+ years, and have had my chairs that long! And, I wanted to incorporate fidget bands and a couple of wobble chairs to try!
My students are just beginning their learning process, so I want their experiences to be something they can enjoy, internalize, and that is instilled in them for the future! It is my goal to provide these experiences to them, but, it is difficult to provide these experiences without appropriate materials.
I'm so proud of my students and their desire for learning!
We are a low socioeconomic school, but we prefer to think of ourselves as being able to give our students a family-oriented environment full of lifelong learning experiences.
My Project
I've been teaching 22+ years, and my chairs were there when I came! I finally got to retire my 22 year-old plus desks and got some tables! I chose a wobble chair for each table and also regular-style chairs that I could put fidget bands on. I'm so excited just at the thought of these!
Kindergarten is a special time and I would love to give my 25 kinders their basic needs to learn!
Being able to offer them a variety of seating and making my room more inviting would be a dream come true. And, they need steady chairs to sit in, rather than chairs that wobble, but aren't meant to.
