Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are inspiring! Our class focuses really hard on making friends. My goal is to prepare the students for kindergarten. We are a small school that helps children develop social skills, self help, and pre-academic skills. Students in my class have an ownership of their learning! I encourage my students to have their own voice and respect the voices of others. I take the time to know each of my students, and I care about their well being. Each obstacle they face is a delight when they reach their potential!
My Project
The road rug will be used in our block area. The students need a place they can drive their vehicles and build their towers while expanding their imagination.
Comfort is Contagious!
The color block rug will be used for our whole group learning. The students learn the months of the year, days of the week, I Love You Rituals, good morning song, good bye song, and story time all on this rug.
As of right now, our class has 16 students sitting on a small carpet and they are elbow to elbow. With more students enrolling daily, our class list is steadily growing. We spend most of our time on the carpet. These rugs will help the students find their own comfort without sitting or playing so close to each other.
