My students are full of love and energy. There are days they enter my room all smiles, ready to learn, and then there are days they enter the room upset because they are dealing with difficult problems at home. My job as their teacher/surrogate mother is to welcome them with a smile and a warm hug.
My children know they are loved when they enter my classroom.
We are a classroom family that looks after each other and helps each family member be the best he/she can be!
My Project
Having flexible seating in my classroom allows my students to choose what works best for them. Sitting still in a traditional school chair is not ideal for many of my students. Often times, kids need to move while they are completing work to stay focused on the task.
My students are more engaged and less disruptive when they are given a choice of where and how they want to sit.
The products that I have selected will give my students several options to choose from when they are working at their tables and sitting on the carpet together as a class. The stools will allow my students to sit at higher tables to complete work. The yoga balls will help my students work on their core strength while sitting but also allow extra movement. The rocker seats will allow my students to move in their designated area while focusing on the whole group activity.
Having additional seating options in my classroom will effect my students in a positive way and will give them the opportunity to learn in a way that is best for them!
