Sitting at the Sea for Science

My Project

My hard working students want to work, but sometimes they realize they also need space so they opt for the floor.

These playful sea carpet circles will provide an inviting space in our ocean themed room for students who prefer to work on the floor.

In science class we often work in groups when we are building solutions to real world problems and testing our designs. My amazing students also know great scientists record their work which may involve drawing prototypes, recording testing results, writing and drawing ideas that would make their solution even better, and reflecting on their results and how they might impact the world. These carpet circles will offer a defined place for students who opt to record their solutions and ideas on the floor instead of at a desk.
