This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My high school students are creative, innovative, and driven. I teach in the third-most diverse county in the US, and this diversity serves to enrich my students' education. Collaboration is key in the development and thriving growth of my students. They take ownership of their own learning and we try to do this through both independent work and collaboration, with a focus on real-world applications and problem solving. They serve their community and strive to enrich and improve it, which is shown through their dedication and success and positive impact in the area (Sugar Land).

My Project

School is no longer a static and unchanging endeavor. It is a dynamic, collaborative, and innovative space were students develop and innovate and explore based on their interests. Cooperation is key, so a classroom who’s layout can change based on that day’s need is crucial. Therefore, mobility is key.

Additionally, more research has emerged emphasizing the need for movement throughout the day for the brain and body to work optimally.

Help me make my classroom a more dynamic learning space with these mobile sit-stand desks in order to keep up with my innovative students!
