My Students

My students are amazing! Wonderful things happen in our school everyday! Our school is a title 1 school with a large percentage of minority students. Many of the students live in the city or poor communities in our area. All students receive free breakfast, lunch and snack daily. These students are very social and therefore I try to create a social environment in my classroom where they can work with partners and in small groups daily. We strive to create a safe and comfortable environment in our school.

My Project

My students are not contained to 1 seat during my class. They have the freedom to move and work in another area of the classroom other than their desk. We have whole group, small group, partner and individual work throughout the day.

The children love to have the freedom to sit in any area of the classroom.

The stools will allow them easy access to a new seating area. They are lightweight and can easily be moved to join a group, sit in a quieter area, or create a group.

We have used these in the past and they are very durable and they help fit several children into a small area.
