My Students

I teach pre-k through 5th grades, general music classes and chorus. Currently, my students sit on the floor; however, the stools would be perfect for my third through fifth grade students who are working on correct posture and technique for singing and playing instruments.

My school's demographic includes a significant number of lower income families who would appreciate and benefit from assistance from Donors Choose contributors!

Resources for the general music and chorus programs at my school depend on grants and contributions from organizations and individuals that appreciate and support the arts!

My Project

I will use the stools as seating for my third and fourth students who are learning to play drums and recorders, and for my fourth and fifth grade chorus rehearsals. Students will benefit from proper seating rather than sitting on the floor. Currently, students need to stand to sing or play instruments with proper posture and technique.

Since space in my classroom is limited, the stools will provide the needed seating without requiring significant storage space or time to setup.

Stools will provide more age-appropriate classroom seating for my older students and will allow flexibility in arranging seating for playing instruments or singing.
