Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are bright, intelligent inquirers in search of seeing themselves in various forms of literature. They strive to be the best versions of themselves in all aspects of our learning community.
They are adventurers, deep-thinkers, inquirers, caring, thoughtful citizens.
My students learn about the importance of life lessons through the stories they read, the stories they tell, and the discussions they contribute to in class.
My Project
My students LOVE to read their self-selected novels. They love to read even more when they are comfortable and cozy!
Comfortable and flexible seating helps my students feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while reading and interacting with their texts.
When my students know they have options for being able to work, it helps them thrive in the classroom academically and personally. My students love to share with each other what they are reading and learning in their novels. When they can take their seats with them, they are able to group quickly and dive into deeper discussions.
