My Students

The students in my classroom are in a small, inner city charter school. The class is in a very diverse Title I school. The class is very small and is a blended kindergarten/1st grade class. They were troopers when they had to blend into a single classroom one month into the school year.

My students love coming into the classroom and are excited to learn.

They work hard to learn to manage their own learning and their own behaviors. One of the favorites shares in the classroom is who is being a good citizen.

My Project

I am ordering these bean bags as flexible seating options for my students.

These chairs will allow my students to have comfortable seating during their reading time.

My students are able to make their own good fit reading spots in the classroom. This allows them to grab their book bags and bring it to their favorite spot to read in. By adding some comfortable seating choices, I feel that it will further their fun and engaging reading opportunity. These additional seating options will work for: read to self, read to friend, individual word work, individual math work and math games choices.
