My Students

I teach a group of 21 vibrant first graders that are eager to explore and learn! Our class has a wide range of abilities from learning the names of the letters to understanding a character's motives and figuring what number comes next in the sequence to adding large two-digit numbers using place value.

My students love exploring new ideas and strategies, independently, and while working with a group using hands-on manipulatives.

They are eager to work together while building relationships and working together in a group.

My Project

These materials will provide my students the opportunity to be comfortable while reading. I am trying to teach my students the enjoyment of reading. After choosing a book you're interest in, being comfortable while reading is the next step!

Students love the opportunity to make choices for themselves!

The variety of seating will ensure that they have ample opportunities to switch it up and find something that makes them comfortable and ready to learn.

These seating options will also give my students the freedom to learn in a variety of locations-not just their desk. Thank you for considering my students and school with your support!
