Singing Songs During Reading

My students need 1 CD Player and 8 CDs, including "All You Need Is Love: Beatles Songs for Kids" and "Disney's Lullaby Album, Vol. 2".

I am an elementary school teacher who works in a third grade classroom in a Title 1 school.

My third grade students love to improve their reading through the shared reading of songs. They begin by reading the song lyrics together and talking about the words. Once they learn how to read the music well they focus on learning the beat of the song. Eventually they sing the song for an audience during classroom celebrations.

In order to continue this reading activity we need a new CD player and eight additional Cd's. This CD player and the Cd's will act as motivators for all types of readers.

Your help will ensure that my students form a lifetime love of both reading and music. You will bring fun into the classroom, and spread joy to students and parents alike.
