My students need small group instruction. This projector will allow for my co-teacher and I to have two mini lessons going at the same time and give the students a more individualized learning experience.
My students are a very diverse group of individuals. Some have had great success in mathematics throughout the years, while some have faced great adversity.
My job is to reinvigorate their interest in mathematics, while pushing others to think more critically.
My students grow up in homes with very few resources and face many challenges on a daily bases in their lives. I want my classroom to be a place with multiple resources including means for the use of technology. I want to make school a place where my students desire to come and learn!
My Project
In my classroom, I have the opportunity to work with amazing co-teachers. With only one area, in the classroom, in which to display information in the classroom, we are unable to project knowledge on the students at the same time.
This portable projector and cord will help utilize the talents of my co-teachers, and allow them to use their creativity to educate our students.
The students also greatly benefit from small group instruction. With this projector, I can teach a math skill in one manner while my co-teacher can portray the same math concept in a different manner on another screen. For example a game, a hands on activity, or a interactive activity. In addition this will give us the ability to reteach material that is misunderstood by some students and push more critical thinking for the students who grasp the mathematical current concepts
