My Project

My students love math! It is always so engaging with all of the manipulatives they are able to use to form a concrete understanding of their concepts. It is always the favorite part of their day.

Fractions are a huge concept of which they need a firm foundation.

I plan to use the materials, like the fraction tiles and magnets, to help my students understand fractions fully. These materials will help them physically manipulate a fraction to deepen their engagement and learning.

With use of these materials, my students will be able to apply their foundational learning to the bigger concept of the standard and really deepen their understanding and increase their ability to use fractions in school and within their lives outside of school.
