My Students

As a teacher in a low income school district in South Carolina, I see my students face challenges in providing their supplies and materials. Because of the financial constraints my students and their families face, many of them come to class unprepared every day. These students are not always prepared for the expectations of middle school and struggle to find their way in the new environment.

Through teaching Social Studies, we spend time examining mankind's past and making inferences and conclusions based on what we read.

Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

My Project

My students need these simple technology tools in our classroom. These students are new to the middle school environment. They are transitioning from elementary school to the added responsibility of the life of a middle school student. My students need the Ipevo document camera so I can model how their work should look based on the examples I share with them.

The mobile desk will allow me to move around the room and be fully mobile to support my students.

The mobile desk will release me from the cords and my attachment to the wall for power. I am excited by the possibility of removing the cords to better serve my students.
