My students need these pencils & markers to be able to work efficiently. It's after Christmas and we are running low. Our electric pencil sharpener also has a mind of its own.
I teach 3rd grade math and science at a Title I school in rural NC. This is my 12th year teaching and I have the pleasure of teaching yet another awesome group of students this year.
With that being said, we are lacking a few essential items that would help my students be even more successful.
Through the generosity of donors in the past I have been able to provide flexible seating & light covers that create a calm, filtered environment. Now we need your help with some basic supplies.
My Project
Due to the fact that most of my students are from low-income homes it is not possible for them to continue to bring supplies throughout the year. While many of them do bring some supplies at the beginning of the year, those supplies don't last very long.
We use supplies such as pencils, dry erase makers, tissue and erasers on a daily basis and I do not want my students education to suffer due to limited supplies.
By providing these supplies for my students you are greatly increasing their time on task and therefore their learning. Not being able to get to work because of limited supplies is NOT acceptable.
