An excitement for learning has begun! My first graders are so excited to come to school every day and learn new things. The are willing to try stuff they haven't tried before and they are so curious about everything.
Stories come to life as they connect their real world experience to the characters in the books we read.
I love to hear the ways they relate to the characters. Reading with first graders is truly magical.
I have one little guy in my class who thinks hard about things, but wants so badly to have the correct answer when he tells me the answer. I love to see the enthusiasm they have for learning in first grade and I love to watch all my students trying so hard to learn.
My Project
With your donation my students will be able to enhance their reading and writing skills with markers and sharp pencils and organized supplies. New books would put excitement into our reading corner and encourage literacy. I will use the Neon Heavy-Duty Book Bins to organize the new books so they are easy for the children to access.
We will use the Crayola washable markers to highlight the main idea, details and our conclusion by color-coding our writing.
The X-ACTO electric pencil sharpener will keep their fingers from getting blisters with our manual pencil sharpener.
The 10 Drawer Mobile Organizer will provide an easy way for the students to quickly find the supplies they are looking for so they can get back to work quicker.
These items will really help improve my students' first grade learning experience.
