My Students
Our students are extremely heady, engaging and rearing to fully devote themselves to learning that is hands-on and fun, productively struggling for hours on end to solve a problem, figure out a mystery and/or make a new discovery! We owe them an educational adventure that is rich and directly related to their lived experience.
We want to tap into their curiosity and have the learning serve as a natural teacher that encourages, empowers, and engages them to wonder, experiment, and feed off of their collective genius.
We are in the midst of updating our computer lab a bit and the highest leverage piece right now making it as wireless as possible for a cleaner look and simplified student experience.
My Project
Because of the wear and tear of hundreds of student per week, our laptop keyboards and mice have taken a thorough beating. Keys are starting to loosen and come off altogether and the response time is no longer what it use to be when students press buttons. Furthermore, between the power cords and wires that connect the keyboards and mice to the laptops, we often have a maze of a mess in the form of wires tangled up from one laptop to the next!
Having wireless keyboards and mice would remedy two issues, it would give full functionality back to the laptop and greatly reduce the feet of wires in our lab, providing a cleaner look and simpler learning experience for our student.
