My Students

I have a wonderful group of twenty-four, very curious, active, amazing students. I have eleven boys and thirteen girls. They are inquisitive and smart! They are a ​great group and work well together.

My students are a wonderful group of students from diverse backgrounds.

My class is made up of students that receive free or reduced-price lunch, special ed students including students with Autism, and gifted and talented students. We are a well-rounded class. Even more importantly, we are a family!

My Project

The noise-canceling headphones will create the silence needed and create the ability for my students to focus during independent reading time.

By focusing on their reading, students will become more independent, effective readers, therefore increasing their comprehension!

I will use these headphones during my independent reading time as well as my guided reading groups. I am really excited to help my students become more focused and deliberate readers. I want to see them grow, and I believe that this will be a great step in that direction. These will be another tool that my students can use to become life-long readers and learners!
