Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing! They’re enthusiastic and come to school eager to learn. We are a Title One school with one hundred percent of the students participating in a free lunch program.
The majority of my students come from a low socioeconomic background with limited resources and life experiences.
It’s important for first graders to learn basic foundational skills especially in the areas of reading, writing and math. I know that if we provide these children with a positive and enriching environment with the proper resources, these students will flourish and succeed!
My Project
Students will use the headphones while using the iPads to reinforce their phonics, reading, spelling and math skills. Having headphones will allow students to sit next to each other without distractions.
Most of the students can't afford to bring headphones to school and many of the earbuds that they bring don't fit their little ears properly.
This project would definitely reduce the noise level in the classroom which will allow for better focus for all students. The use of the headphones will create an ideal learning environment. Some students could be using their iPads while others can be participating in other activities.
