This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m excited to introduce my second graders to the world of letter writing with their very own classroom mailbox, mail carrier costume, and new pencils to make for a meaningful writing experience.

With your contribution, we can turn this idea into a reality: my students will transform into mail carriers, hand-delivering letters with excitement!

The children would have a dedicated mailbox, serving as a magical hub for sending and receiving letters, further enhancing our pen pal connections. Furthermore, with high-quality pencils and funny eraser tops they will be motivated to write their letters.

In order for my students to see themselves as true writers, the writing they engage in needs to be meaningful and reflect real life experiences. Your contribution could ensure our pen pal unit will be. Your support will help foster a love for writing, creativity, and connection in our young learners.
