My students need to be able to practice sight words in a variety of ways! This set allows me to differentiate based on student needs. The tubs allow students to have more access to classroom supplies.
I have a group of twenty six very interactive learners! We have a variety of different learners and trying to meet their individual needs is very important to me. In our classroom community we embrace the diversity that each person expresses and brings to our unique group. We have worked very hard to create a safe learning environment in which each student can feel safe taking academic risks and navigating through their own individual learning experiences at their own pace that is right for them.
My Project
The sight word games will allow for student collaboration and independence within the classroom. Students can practice their sight words together and they will be able to do so in an interactive way! I plan on writing out all of our district sight words for first grade, second grade, and third grade on the jenga pieces.
The tubs will allow me to put out more materials for the students, that way it is just available to them as needed. They will also be helpful in organization our space so things are accessible for all and we will not have to search for everyday materials.
The ladybug insect habitat is for our upcoming insect unit! We will be learning all about insects and their habitats. I specifically chose the ladybug habitat because the students will be able to the different stages and process from the beginning, resulting in ladybugs.
