My Students
I teach at a Title I school where the majority of students come from homes with high poverty. My students are so excited about school and love learning new things! I strive to give them the best tools to succeed. It is my goal to provide the best educational experience I can for them!

My students need to be able to see, listen and do in order to learn at their highest potential. I want my students to be more prepared and successful in their future school endeavors.
My Project
Learning to read sight words is essential for strong literacy skills. My students were introduced to sight words on the second week of school, but many of them are still struggling with retaining the information. Creating Sight-Word Sentences Center will help my students better understand their sight words by putting them into meaningful sentences. The resources that I am asking for, are things that my students will not have access to outside of our classroom and I would like to provide them this opportunity. If my students can learn to love reading now, they will have opportunities to be successful in reading!
