Hi I am a teacher in Georgia and I teach 2nd grade. Currently in our classroom we have 24 students. With 24 students I like to make learning as fun and creative as I can as we have different learning styles and different wants and needs! My students are innovative and love to do anything that requires using their hands to create and build using higher level thinking as they liked to be challenged! We are trying to incorporate a lot of STEM projects and activities this year in the classroom due to their different learning styles and their want of working in groups.
My Project
My students are constantly needing a sharpened pencil to complete the activities in my classroom. When our pencils break, it can be a challenge not having a pencil sharpener that works. In our classroom the wall sharpener does not work and is hard for second graders to use when it is in service. Also we are constantly needing to label things in our classroom, such as supplies, notebooks, books, etc. Labels can be so expensive! So that is why we have added labels to this need of supplies!
An electronic sharpener is such a help in a second grade classroom!
The students know how to use it and can do so without any help!
