My Project

My students come from all walks of life. They all have their own individual story to tell. Students need to learn through direct instruction, hands-on instruction, and the occasional competitive review game. I would like classroom activities to be more engaging, have small incentives, and be a learning environment where it is okay to make mistakes.

Students will be utilizing whiteboards in class more to show understanding.

I am hoping to have students "check-in" more during lessons by writing on their boards to individually show their progress. In math, showing work and steps is key to solving many problems. I think have white boards to write on and quickly change mistakes will be helpful in the learning process.

Many algebra problems require many steps to solve; it students have pencil or dry erase markers to use I can quickly help students correct mistakes without having to start from the beginning. Easily erasing one small negative sign could change an outcome and help students not feel defeated as if the full problem was incorrect.
