Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

We have school assemblies throughout the year so we can let the students showcase their learning. Our microphone and speakers have gone by the way side and work only partially during performances. We would love to have a working microphone and speaker set up so our students can be heard as they speak and perform. They work really hard practicing and then when we gather it is difficult to be heard over 280 students plus staff and families. Having a clear working speaker and microphone will help build student confidence as we practice public speaking and performing arts activities. Students host Science Fairs and Family Night events also that require students to be emcees and hosts and it becomes challenging to strain to speak over people when you don’t have a working audio system. We want to have equipment that will support student learning and performances so your supporting this project will help with that.
