My third graders are enthusiastic learners! They are inquisitive, bright, caring, compassionate, and filled with wonder. Our small, rural school is located near the southern coast of Oregon. We work hard to foster an environment that promotes collaboration, creativity and fosters communication throughout our day.
We pride ourselves on lifting each other up, as we strive toward a common goal of developing students who are critical thinkers, innovators, and role models.
We have a long way to go toward achieving this goal; however, with your help, I know we can make it. In our class, we live by the motto, "The good you do, will come back to you!"
My Project
Show your work! Teachers have chanted this mantra for generations. Help us bring a flat screen monitor and wall mount to help my students show their digital content with the class. This monitor will allow students to connect the Chromebook computers we already have with a digital monitor.
A new monitor will empower students to share their work and collaborate with others.
In addition, this monitor will allow students to increase their financial literacy skills as they share their business plans, commercials, and podcasts with their team. Students will not need to crowd around a single computer. This monitor will allow each team member to easily share ideas.
We are also requesting brick mural wall paper and poster to use behind the screen. This will help make this area more appealing for students and increase their work flow.
