Teaching middle school can be a tough task, but teaching middle school math can be even tougher! My Seventh grade students range from ages 11-13.
My students are fun, lively, and full of energy.
They enjoy new experiences and working collaboratively with others. Most students do not like math class, simply because they don't find it interesting.
My goal is to provide my students with a supportive learning environment that fosters growth among all. I want them to become educated young adults who can use math in the real world.
My Project
My students need more ways to show their math work other than on paper! All of my classes love to write on the classroom dry erase boards with different colors. I'd like to have 10 dry erase tables for my students to sit at and show their math work!
Dry Erase tables would be a great addition to my math classroom and be a new resource for my students!
The tables will provide my students an exciting and engaging new way to show their work; what kids wouldn't like to write on tables! Having recently gotten two dry erase tables has posed a problem- they all want to sit at the tables! I would like to offer all my students the opportunity to have new desks, especially since our current desks are old and falling apart. It would be a great update to my classroom and make the classroom learning environment a happier, more inviting place!
