Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students live on the near westside of Indianapolis, Indiana. This area of Indianapolis is poverty-stricken with a lot of diverse families. A lot of the students come from single-parent homew with multiple siblings. Some of the students have limited to no English skills. Even at home, another language is spoken. With this being a poverty-stricken area, the technology is limited with many families and only use it while at school.

My Project

The iPad Pro will allow my students to become more confident in their work and willing to share it with the rest of the class. It will increase student engagement with each lesson in math and reading. Students will be able to record videos of them retelling stories that they have read and record their fluency. Using the iMovie app, students can create videos of their learning that they can share with their families.

The iPad Pro will also allow me to share my screen with my virtual students for distance learning.

I can write on their assignments and give them instant feeback on their learning.

So, the iPad will not only help my students here at schoo but my students doing distance learning.
