Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My third grade students walk into class every day full of energy and eager to learn! Our school is a Title 1 school where over 60% of the students are English Language Learners and 70% of the learners live in poverty. Our students love coming to school and our staff is dedicated to providing a balanced education for each and every student. The next step towards giving these students the comprehensive education they deserve is to provide resources that tailor to their needs.
My Project
To keep all of my students engaged in their learning, they need whiteboards to show what they know.
Students will be able to solve math problems, answer quick literary, science, and social studies questions on these boards and I will be able to quickly recognize who needs further instruction or if the whole class has "got it".
These boards are easy to use and the black markers make it easy to read their responses. They are environmentally friendly as we won't be needing paper. The chart paper will be used as anchor charts for the students to reference as they solve or answer the questions. These are all valuable learning tools that will keep my students engaged.
