Our journey together is a short one... there is so much to do - in order to build Little Hearts and Minds! Each year, I’m blessed with a mixture of Littles brought together for nine short months. The families in our community love and care for their children and with their support, we work together to begin growing Hearts and Minds!
The community as a whole, including some of the Little Ones in our Kindergarten Family were impacted by Hurricane Harvey this year.
Hurricane Harvey has changed this community and its families in many ways. With the negative changes brought on by this, families and their children will count on our Kindergarten Family for more love and encouragement!
I wish you could see the changes and growth made by this Kindergarten Family! We read, write, count, listen, learn, and try to scatter kindness along the way!
My Project
Kindergarten Thinkers need amazing literature as they begin the early stages of reading and writing.
Jennifer Serravallo Go-To Books for reading and writing will provide real literature, that can be used with the children and by the children as they begin to develop their strategies.
In Kindergarten, many of these titles will begin as read alouds. As they begin to develop their reading and writing skills, we will be able to revisit these texts. These books will put great models and examples into the hands of lifelong readers and writers. I can’t wait to get literature chosen by a great expert like - Jennifer Serravallo - into the hands of 5 year olds!
