This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am the school librarian for a campus of three high schools in Brooklyn. For a decade, our campus had no library or librarian, and the space was left to fester. Now, I have been brought in to bring the space back to life since our renovation is done.
Our students are bright, hard-working, and in need of engaging material.
This project is for book stands and administrative materials for our library.
My Project
This project is all about helping students to see our books in better detail! Research shows that students are more likely to read a book when they see the cover, and right now we don't have enough display stands to meet that need.
Help my students see all of the amazing books we have on the shelf by giving us display stands!
With these display stands, we will be able to promote more titles and improve circulation for more titles. More circulation means more books being read, and that's the most important thing right now.
