My students need personal white boards, markers and erasers to share their ideas with one another. It will also allow them to express themselves in everyday learning.
This upcoming school year will be my first year - I plan to have my classroom be a safe and fun learning environment for all who enters my classroom. I want my students to be able to express themselves and be able to feel that they can truly make a difference even at a young age.
My students come from extreme circumstances.
Our student population is constantly changing due to families consistently moving in and out of the area. Therefore, students have a hard time making it to school on time and/or making it everyday. Our community is known to be one of a migrant community so many of our students help their families and their businesses.
My Project
The materials I am requesting are pertinent to my students learning because it will allow them to jot down ideas, write down answers to questions and/or brainstorm with their group or partners on an everyday basis. The large easel, paper and markers will allow me to bring the curriculum we learn throughout the day and create visual posters, charts, graphs and/or diagrams on information we are learning. These posters will then surround our classroom walls so that students may refer to them while they are independently working or working in groups or partners.
As mentioned before this is my first year teaching and having these materials would be beneficial not only for my students everyday learning, but a huge help for me financially.
As any other fellow teacher can relate, teachers are constantly purchasing items for their class room "out of pocket". By you deciding to donate towards my {Show Me Your Idea} project my students will be able to express their individuality and have materials of their own.
