Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are gifted students in 2nd-6th grade. Being gifted in our school district means that the students have a high IQ. They are very active and fun to be around. They live in close knit neighborhoods and apartment complexes near the school. Our school is a Title I school that has 95% of students on the free or reduced lunch program. My students are capable of doing great things and learning so much. They are our future doctors,lawyers and community leaders. With your support I can give my students the tools they need to be successful future leaders.

My Project

I am requesting a document camera for my classroom. I want to be able to share activities, dissections and handouts with the entire class at the same time.The document camera allows a teacher, lecturer or presenter to write on a sheet of paper or to display a two or three-dimensional object while the audience watches. Theoretically, all objects can be displayed by a document camera. Most objects are simply placed under the camera. The camera takes the picture which in turn produces a live picture using a projector or monitor. This means the students can see and work with their teacher.
