This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The community my school serves is extremely diverse in that we have students and families from countries all over the world. Diversity is often a double-edged sword in education in that being different causes much confusion because there is no defined norm as a point of reference. Through our diversity, we can learn more about your own identities while simultaneously learning about our neighbors.
The beauty in diversity is that we are all different and can learn a wealth of information from each other our different perspectives.
My Project
What is considered to be our new norm, due to Covid-19, it is extremely important that I still provide my students with a quality education albeit virtually.
Having the right tools is the best way to reach my students when teaching at a distance
The earphones will help me when I am engaging my students in our Zoom classroom to drown out any noises from my home being the entire family, kids included, are working and learning from home. I need the students undivided attention and focus. The stylus/pen and mouse will allow me to model instruction that students need in order to understand skills and concepts being taught.
