My Students

My students latch on to technology aids with great vigor. They are always inquisitive and love learning new things. All of my students are passionate about different things, and they show that passion in their work as a group. They get to share and learn about one another in productive and safe ways.

I teach the English side of a Dual Immersion classroom.

They split each day speaking English and Spanish. They work hard in both classes and we as teachers make sure that they make the most of each class day. This includes multiple classroom discussions, informal and formal assessment, and ample amounts of practice each day before they go home. My students are amazing!

My Project

I am seeking 8 Boogie Boards to complete a class set to help in my classroom. We frequently use whiteboards in the classroom for both informal assessment, note-taking during lessons, and independently. They are a commonplace tool in our classroom.

I want to update the tool of whiteboards, but keep the perks by using Boogie Boards.

With these writing tablets, the cost of materials will be lowered dramatically (dry erase markers, erasers, replacement boards, etc). This will also lower the amount of waste left behind with whiteboards.

Boogie Boards also allow students to save their work and they can even share it with me to check. Whiteboards are nice for quick things and they save paper, but the work cannot be saved. This problem is solved with Boogie Boards. I can also use their data to inform future lessons to help those who are struggling or engage further with those who need a higher-level challenge.
