My Students

I have 24 book loving third graders in my class. I teach in a Title I School where I have students from a variety of different backgrounds who are eager to learn. Many of my students come from low income homes and are being raised by a single parent or grandparent.

Many of my students struggle with reading on grade level and working independently.

I currently have six students who have a learning disability in reading. These students require visual aids and extra time to complete assignments to help them succeed in reading.

My Project

We are in need of a document camera in my classroom to enhance instruction. Many of my students need additional support and visual queues to support their learning in all subjects, including reading. A document camera would allow for all materials to be displayed so that every student has the equal opportunity to see all information.

Having a document camera would alleviate the need for scanning documents to make them digital.

It also takes away the need to make copies for every student. This saves time, money, and paper supplies. All of which are essential in the lives of educators.
