Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

E-Cubed Panthers have much school pride. Students are proud of who they are and where they come from. Providence is a great city rich with different nationalities and cultures! We learn best by sharing common experiences and in my art classes it is very clear that a common thread is showing off our unique creativity and styles of art.

My Project

Students need to see it to believe it. My art students at E-Cubed Academy are some of the most creative and diverse students in Rhode Island. They deserve to see their visual art projects hung with pride professionally in a fire safe glass case that meets both safety and school department regulations. Right now I can't hang student work because we do not have access to funding for art display showcases. It is a hazard to display paper and canvas works in the halls and common areas due to fire codes. E-Cubed Academy is more than a high school in Providence, it is a huge part of our larger community. Stakeholders, family, business partners are all vested in our collective student success. Our student's success is a vital part of our growth as a city, state, and nation, and beyond. Student art can change perspectives, bring people together, and enhance lives to make a positive connections. Please let me give their artwork a place to live other than in a sketchbook or drawer.
