Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Ms. Yarbrough’s amazing third grade students are so well behaved. They are so eager to learn and they are always full of questions. Although English is my students' second language, they have never let that stop them from going above and beyond their ability to learn and have fun while they are learning. They are so giving towards one another and give praise when a classmate has reached a milestone. They are my life; they make me who I am today. It is an honor to teach and give them the foundation of learning - something they will have for the rest of their lives. I love all of them!
My Project
The mini PA system will give my students confidence to speak out without worrying about if they are being heard. It will also help them with their science projects when speaking to their audience. The setting is perfect for Reader's Theater. My students get excited when it is Reader's Theater time; this is definitely a confidence builder. The mini projector will allow my students to present their science projects using today's technology with the use of the Chromebooks in the classroom. The mouse will be very helpful because the students will be doing a lot of research - yes, research. Although they are third graders, I have a lot of confidence in them. The storage bins will provide storage for my math station, especially for the manipulative blocks. The stool will provide extra sitting for my reading table. I am behind my students 100 percent.
