Although our school is in a rural community, we have a diverse population of students. Many of our students are fairly new to our country and are just learning to speak English. Some of our students live in poverty while others come from wealthier homes. No matter their background or nationality, our students come together on the field.
Soccer helps bring our students together no matter their differences.
They're learning so much more than just the skills of soccer as they play.
My Project
Both the boys' and girls' soccer teams at our school are filled with talent. In addition, for this upcoming girls season, this will be our first year participating in a co-op with another school. This will increase our numbers resulting in the need for more equipment to keep all the players active and working to improve their skills.
This equipment will allow us to incorporate more advanced drills and be able to give better feedback to the players about their ball handling and shooting.
The shooting nets will allow multiple options for individual, small group and/or full-team exercises. It will help our athletes improve their shooting and control during practices in order to apply these skills in games, leading to a successful season.
