Our wrestling program is requesting help in purchasing additional wrestling shoes/supplies for students of all ages. Our roster is made up of roughly 65 total middle schoolers and high schoolers .
The students often come from diverse socioeconomic situations and all the athletes are often unable to purchase their own wrestling shoes.
We often try to give out leftover shoes, but due to our growing number of athletes, we are unable to meet the demand of shoes needed.
My Project
The wrestling roster is roughly 65 athletes from middle school and high school. The roster often has athletes from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds- we have collected shoes over the years to borrow out to athletes, but with our growing numbers of athletes, we have no more shoes to give out. Our program is continuing to grow bigger and bigger- we are requesting help purchasing shoes to help combat the cost of organized sports. Since shoes often fall apart over the years and athletes simply outgrow shoes- it can be financially stressful for parents/guardians to replace shoes every year. Our goal is to continue growing our program and have as many athletes involved as possible. We do not want cost/supplies to be the reason athletes are unable to participate. We believe wrestling teaches hard work, responsibility, and respect. We want to continue being able to teach kids these life skills and appreciate your help!
